  Released in 2006, PREMONICION marks Spanish pop singer David Bisbal's breakthrough in the United States. Already a star in much of Latin America, the dramatic, rock-tinged single "Quien Me Iba a Decir" widened Bisbal's appeal even further. While that song is clearly one of the album's highlights, PREMONICION also features a shuffling reggaeton mix of "Torre de Babel" (with Wisin & Yandel and Vincente Amigo), ensuring that the dynamic record hits a large audience.
   Having lived in the Spanish city where David Bisbal also lived, there was no getting away from the winner of Spain's Operacion Triunfo, the equivalent of our X Facta. This album has really opened my eyes to the David Bisbal, singer, as opposed to Davd Bisbal, curly topped superstar (especially now the hair has been cut). And can he sing!
You either love his music or hate it. I have to admit I love it. David's music is not typically Spanish - do not buy this album if you are looking for Gypsy Kings inspired music or anything typically Spanish. Davids music tends to be very pop-y at times (Calentando Voy and Buleria are examples of this) but he does have really good ballads too. There is a definite Eastern influence to David's music.
   Whether I would love this album without having lived the David Bisbal phenomeon, I'm not sure. Liking pure pop will help, as well as reggae influence and Eastern influenced music. Still its a really good buy in my opinion.
